    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Signal Detection Perception ; Happiness; Anger; Face Perception; Facial Expressions; Superiority Effects; Gender Differences; Response Bias; Scaling; Euclidean Distance; Psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Faces provide cues for judgments regarding the emotional state of individuals. Using signal-detection methodology and a standardized stimulus set, the overall aim of the present dissertation was to investigate the detection of emotional facial expressions (i.e., angry and happy faces) with neutral expressions as the nontarget stimuli. 3. 3. Two is one too many : dyadic memory collaboration effects on encoding and retrieval of episodes

    Författare :Jan Andersson; Linköpings universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis was to investigate how individual memory potential in different tasks is affected by collaboration in social settings. Collaborative group dimensions were also studied: friendship, age, and gender. The principal comparison was between an actual collaborative dyad and the sum of the two individuals' memory potential, i. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Myocardial Effects of Type 2 Diabetes, Co-morbidities, and Changing Loading Conditions : a Clinical Study by Tissue Velocity Echocardiography

    Författare :Satish C. Govind; Lars-Åke Brodin; Mohbubul Alam; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medical technology; Medicinsk teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Ever since the validation of the tissue velocity echocardiography (TVE) technique more than a decade ago the modality has been used rather successfully in various clinical situations, at rest as well as during stress echocardiography. Hitherto, dobutamine stress echocardiography has been the hallmark of all forms of stress procedures, now with TVE, quantification of the longitudinal motions of the left ventricle shows far superiority, with improved sensitivity and specificity in the functional diagnosis of coronary artery disease.     Nyckelord :PET; D2 D3 receptors; 5HT2A receptors; antipsychotic drugs; schizophrenia; age effects; raclopride; FLB 457; M100907; clozapine; haloperidol; perphenazine; thalamus; cortex; striatum; PANSS;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to examine pathophysiology and antipsychotic treatment of schizophrenia by using positron emission tomography (PET). The high affinity radioligand [11C]FLB 457 was used for determination of dopamine D2 receptor binding in the thalamus and the cortex of nine drug-naïve patients with schizophrenia and eight control subjects.
