  1. 6. Solar integrated heating systems: Applications in buildings and industries

    Författare :Puneet Kumar Saini; Joakim Widén; Xingxing Zhang; Frank Fiedler; Thomas Olofsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solar heating systems; Renewable heating systems; Decarbonization; Solar thermal; Techno-economic analysis; Thermal energy storage.; Engineering Science with specialization in Civil Engineering and Built Environment; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot byggteknik och byggd miljö;

    Sammanfattning : “Heat is half” of the global final energy consumption, and the decarbonization of the heating sector is critical to achieving climate goals. This thesis employs a system modelling approach to evaluate renewable heating systems. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Solar Heating with Seasonal Storage. Some Aspects of the Design and Evaluation of Systems with Water Storage

    Författare :Jan-Olof Dalenbäck; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; solar heating; water storage; solar power; simulation;

    Sammanfattning : The report provides a basis for detailed design and evaluation of future solar heating plants with an insulated seasonal water storage. The importance of careful design and plant commissioning is pointed out and a system simulation model for future analyses of system performance is provided. A general evaluation methodology is presented. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Retrofitted Solar Domestic Hot Water System for Single-Family Electrically-Heated Houses: Development and testing

    Författare :Ricardo Bernardo; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solar domestic hot water; retrofitting; single family electrically heated houses; high solar fraction; photovoltaic thermal concentrating hybrids; PVT; parabolic reflectors; CPC thermal collector.;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, there are roughly half a million single family houses that use electric heating for both domestic hot water production and space heating. Since electricity is the most expensive energy source in Sweden, it is interesting to install a high solar fraction solar thermal system to reduce the energy use in these houses. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Solar Thermal Collectors at High Latitudes : Design and performance of non-tracking concentrators

    Författare :Monika Adsten; Manuel Collares-Pereira; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Solar thermal collectors; concentrators; CPC; high latitudes; Materialvetenskap; Solfångare; koncentratorer; höga latituder; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Solid State Physics; fasta tillståndets fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Solar thermal collectors at high latitudes have been studied, with emphasis on concentrating collectors. A novel design of concentrating collector, the Maximum Reflector Collector (MaReCo), especially designed for high latitudes, has been investigated optically and thermally. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Evaluation of a thermally driven heat pump for solar heating and cooling applications

    Författare :Corey Blackman; Chris Bales; Eva Thorin; Victoria Martin; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; solar energy; solar heating and cooling; sorption integrated; Reesbe företagsforskarskola; Reesbe företagsforskarskola; Energy- and Environmental Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Exploiting solar energy technology for both heating and cooling purposes has the potential of meeting an appreciable portion of the energy demand in buildings throughout the year. By developing an integrated, multi-purpose solar energy system, that can operate all twelve months of the year, a high utilisation factor can be achieved which translates to more economical systems.
