11. Studies of the molecular genetics and epidemiology of porcine rubulavirus infection
Sammanfattning : Porcine rubulavirus (PorPV) infection emerged spontaneously in pigs in Mexico in the early 1980s. Since the report of the initial outbreak of the disease, only one full-length genome from a strain isolated in 1984 (PorPV-LPMV/1984) has been sequenced. There is therefore limited information about the genetic variation of this virus. LÄS MER
12. Characterization of parameters influencing intracellular bioavailability and prediction of intracellular drug exposure
Sammanfattning : This thesis work investigates factors influencing intracellular drug disposition. An experimental method for measurement of intracellular bioavailability (Fic), was used throughout. Fic is defined as the ratio between the unbound drug concentration inside the cell and the compound concentration in the cell exterior. LÄS MER
13. Studies on proteins involved in the molecular regulation of insulin exocytosis
Sammanfattning : Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by impaired insulin secretion and insulin resistance. Better understanding of molecular mechanisms of insulin secretion may help to optimize type 2 diabetes management. LÄS MER
14. En jämtländsk företagarverksamhet och dess omvärld : Sven O Perssons företagande 1920-1990
Sammanfattning : The subject of this study is the business activities of an industrialist from county of Jämtland, Sven O Persson (S P), from the end of the 1910's to the end of the 1980's. The economic development of Jämtland during the last one hundred years has also been depicted and placed in relation to the national one, during periods of directional change and/or expansion. 15. Phosphorus to horses and cows
Sammanfattning : It is important from a nutritional perspective to meet the phosphorus (P) requirements of animals. From an environmental perspective however, it is important not to feed more P than necessary, because excessive P will mainly be excreted with feces, and the soluble P fraction is vulnerable to runoff losses and may contribute to eutrophication.
