1. Sintering of nickel catalysts in the presence of NH3/H2
Sammanfattning : Supported metal catalysts are used in many important industrial processes, where amination of alcohols is one example. The exposure of the supported metal catalyst to reaction conditions results usually to a decrease in catalytic activity, by for instance thermal degradation. LÄS MER
2. High Repetition Rate Laser Diagnostics for Combustion Applications
Sammanfattning : High repetition rate laser diagnostics has proven to be a useful tool for studying combustion phenomena. Laser techniques are, in general, relatively non-intrusive and have the potential to measure specific species at very low concentrations and with extremely high temporal resolution. LÄS MER
3. Development of Laser-Spectroscopic Techniques for New Detection Schemes in Combustion Diagnostics
Sammanfattning : The thesis work, aimed at the development of laser-spectroscopic detection schemes, consists of three parts, concerned with the development and application of different techniques. The development of UV filtered Rayleigh scattering (FRS) for thermometry and fuel/air ratio measurements, using a frequency tripled, single-longitudinal-mode alexandrite laser at ~254 nm together with an isotopically enhanced mercury filter, is examined first. 4. Development of a 2D Temperature Measurement Technique for Combustion Diagnostics using 2-Line Atomic Fluorescence
Sammanfattning : The present thesis is concerned with the development and application of a novel planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) technique for temperature measurements in a variety of combusting flows. Accurate measurement of temperature is an essential task in combustion diagnostics, since temperature is one of the most fundamental quantities for the characterization of combustion processes. 5. Improved techniques for CE and MALDI-MS including microfluidic hyphenations foranalysis of biomolecules
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, improved techniques for biomolecule analysis using capillary electrophoresis (CE) and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) and hyphenations between those have been presented.A pre-concentration method which is possible to apply in both techniques, has also been investigated.
