26. Metabolite biosensors for cell factory development
Sammanfattning : Through synergy with natural sciences and engineering disciplines, biotechnology has become a broad, interdisciplinary, scientific field with many applications. One such application is the sustainable production of industrially relevant products using living systems such as microorganisms. LÄS MER
27. Market offer development : industrial experiences in a business-to-business context
Sammanfattning : A company’s competitive advantage is best understood in its ability to fill its relationships with a unique and meaningful value. Especially in business-to-business relationships value is complex and abstract, so complex that the product alone is not a meaningful representation of that value. LÄS MER
28. Citrus Waste Biorefinery: Process Development, Simulation and Economic Analysis
Sammanfattning : The production of ethanol and other sustainable products including methane, limonene and pectin from citrus wastes (CWs) was studied in the present thesis. In the first part of the work, the CWs were hydrolyzed using enzymes – pectinase, cellulase and β-glucosidase – and the hydrolyzate was fermented using encapsulated yeasts in the presence of the inhibitor compound ‘limonene’. 29. Aesthetic Flexibility : In Industrial Design Practice
Sammanfattning : Competition among companies that produce complex or large product portfolios has created a need to use modularity strategies not only to flexibly manage technical complexity in a cost-effective manner but also to produce visually appealing products. This research aims to understand how the visual appearance of products is affected by modular product development strategies and creates coherent product brands. LÄS MER
30. Biochar systems across scales in Sweden : An industrial ecology perspective
Sammanfattning : Biochar – the carbon rich residue derived from biomass pyrolysis – is recognised as a potential solution to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, while simultaneously delivering socio-environmental benefits through biochar use as a material. Perceived as a sustainable innovation, biochar has raised interest throughout the world. LÄS MER
