    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results from a study of the first four years of diabetes in 879 patients aged 15-34 years at diagnosis. The aims of this study were to compare clinical classification with the presence of autoantibodies, to study the natural course of beta cell function during the first years of disease and to define predictive factors for the remaining beta cell function after diagnosis.     Sammanfattning : Aquaculture production in Tanzania has increased in recent years, responding to an increased demand for fish, partly because of an increasing population and declining catches of wild fish. However, the current aquaculture production is still low, dominated by small scale farming systems, that are struggling with a number of challenges such as lack of improved fish breeds, feeds, technical skills and low adoption rates.     Sammanfattning : From studies with seeds of bean, pine and maize and of young bean plants, it has been shown that kinetin treatment can bring about an increase of the endogenous level of indoleacetic acid (IAA).     Sammanfattning : The regulatory function of the auxins indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) inadventitious root formation was studied in cuttings of pea (Pisum sativum L.). These auxins, aswell as the conjugate of IAA with aspartic acid (lAAsp), were identified as naturally occurringconstituents in both seedlings and cuttings. LÄS MER
