  1. 16. LES stochastic modelling of cavitation with its applications in OpenFOAM

    Författare :Boxiong Chen; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Rayleigh-Plesset Equation; Cavitation; Modelling; Simulation; Eulerian Stochastic Field Method; OpenFOAM; Homogeneous Equilibrium Model;

    Sammanfattning : Cavitation is a vaporization process that commonly happens in high-pressure injector nozzles nowadays. It has been shown by previous studies that cavitation has a significant influence on the subsequent atomization process, the quality of which would in turn heavily affect the process of combustion. 2. 17. Management of technology in the process industries:  Matching market and machine

    Författare :Peter Samuelsson; Pär Jönsson; Rob Boom; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; process industries; manufacturing; innovation; configuration; strategizing; capability; configuration modelling; process industries; production system; physical modelling; AOD; converter geometry; injection; mixing times; electric arc furnace; EAF; post-combustion; high-impedance; network disturbances; operational results; Metallurgical process science; Metallurgisk processvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The process industries span multiple industrial sectors and constitute a substantial part of the entire manufacturing industry. Since companies belonging to this family of industries are often very asset intensive, their ability to respond to changes is often limited in the short term. LÄS MER

  3. 18. DEM Modelling and Simulation of Cone Crushers and High Pressure Grinding Rolls

    Författare :Johannes Quist; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Discrete Element Method; Modelling; HPGR; Comminution; DEM; Simulation; Crushing; Minerals Processing; Cone Crusher;

    Sammanfattning : The comminution of rock and ore materials consumes ~1.5-1.8 % of the total energy production in mining intensive countries (Tromans, 2008). Several research findings show that there are ways of utilizing compressive breakage modes that are more energy efficient compared to conventional grinding circuits based on large inefficient tumbling mills. 4. 19. Thermodynamic Modelling and Performance of Combined Solid Oxide Fuel Cell and Gas Turbine Systems

    Författare :Jens Pålsson; Kraftverksteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; Motors and propulsion systems; Motorer; framdrivningssystem; Gases; fluid dynamics; plasmas; plasma; hydraulik; Maskinteknik; vibration and acoustic engineering; hydraulics; vacuum technology; Modelling; Mechanical engineering; Solid oxide fuel cell; Hybrid system; Gaser; fluiddynamik;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are a ceramic type of fuel cell operating at elevated temperatures. By utilising the thermal energy from the SOFC in a heat engine, a hybrid cycle with high performance can be achieved. One promising concept is a pressurised SOFC in combination with a recuperated gas turbine cycle. LÄS MER

  5. 20. From Art Galleries to Terrain Modelling --- A Meandering Path through Computational Geometry

    Författare :Mikael Hammar; Data Vetenskap; []
