  3. 18. Hormone-related dietary factors and estrogen/progesterone-receptor defined postmenopausal breast cancer

    Författare :Reiko Suzuki; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Breast cancer; ER; PR; alcohol; body weight; dietary fiber; dietary lignans;

    Sammanfattning : Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer among women in Western countries including Sweden. It has been hypothesized that ovarian hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone may, at least partly, play an important role in the etiology of breast cancer. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Plant foods, plasma enterolactone and breast cancer - with a focus on estrogen receptor status and genetic variation

    Författare :Emily Sonestedt; Diabetes - kardiovaskulär sjukdom; []

    Sammanfattning : Diets high in fibre have previously been associated with decreased risk of breast cancer in the Malmö Diet and Cancer cohort. Several potent compounds may exist in high-fibre diets that might protect against breast cancer, for example lignans. LÄS MER

  5. 20. A percentile approach to time-to-event outcomes

    Författare :Andrea Bellavia; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Evaluating survival percentiles is a possible approach for the analysis of time-to-event outcomes that moves the focus from risk to time, as the proportion of events is xed and the time by which that proportion is achieved is investigated. The development of statistical methods for conditional censored quantiles has opened up the possibility to use this approach in epidemiological studies. LÄS MER
