  2. 7. Changes in Workplaces and Careers

    Författare :Christina Håkanson; Per Krusell; Claudia Olivetti; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Technical change; skill sorting; cognitive skills; non-cognitive skills; employer-employee matched data; organizational change; female labor supply; fertility; flexibility; family-career trade-off; Economics; nationalekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Organizational Change and Productivity Growth − Evidence from SwedenThis paper uses two different firm level surveys matched with employer-employee data to investigate both determinants and effects of different types of organizational change. The results support the competition hypothesis for inducing organizational change. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Cost-efficient integration of variable renewable electricity - Variation management and strategic localisation of new demand

    Författare :Viktor Walter; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flexibility measures; Energy system modelling; smart energy systems; variation management strategies; variable renewable electricity;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this work was to improve our understanding of how wind power and solar photovoltaics (PV) can be integrated into the European electricity system in a cost-efficient manner. For this, a techno-economic, cost-minimising model of the electricity system is refined for a number of case studies. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Importance of the demand-supply balance in district heating systems

    Författare :Dmytro Romanchenko; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flexibility; Space heating; demand response; buildings; optimisation; thermal energy storage; district heating;

    Sammanfattning : In line with global efforts directed against climate change, the building sector will have to undergo significant changes in terms of its energy use, along with the transformation of the energy system. The scope of this thesis is limited to the energy supply and demand within district heating (DH) systems, with the emphasis on the space heating demand in buildings. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Livspusslet : Tid som välfärdsfaktor

    Författare :Uffe Enokson; Tapio Salonen; Kajsa Ellegård; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; time; income; social networks; flexibility; work life balance; restrictions; time-rich; time-poor; time geography; working time policy in Sweden and the European Union; working time regimes; life course perspective; welfare regime; tid; pengar; sociala nätverk; flexibilitet; strategier; tidrika; tidfattiga; tidsgeografi; restriktionsanalys; arbetstidspolicy i Sverige och Europeiska Unionen; arbetstidsregimer; flexicurity; livsförloppsperspektiv; välfärdsregim; Social work; Socialt arbete; Socialt arbete; Social Work;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis sheds some light on the duality between time-rich and time-poor living conditions and examines in which way this duality/polarisation paves the way for new patterns of inequality. The purpose is to explore the living conditions of two groups in society: those who are established in the labour force and who experience great demands on their efficiency and educational level and those who are unwanted and who do not have a natural place in the labour market.
