16. Modelling of muscular force induced by non-isometric contraction
Sammanfattning : The main objective of the study was to investigate and simulate skeletal muscleforce production during and after isometric contractions, active muscle lengtheningand active muscle shortening. The motivation behind this work was to improve thedominant model of muscle force generation based on the theories of Hill from 1938. LÄS MER
17. Genetic and Functional Analysis of Cell Adhesion in Muscle
Sammanfattning : Skeletal muscle is one of the most abundant tissues in the body, and its main function is to generate the force for movement. The mature muscle cell is a giant, elongated, multinucleated cell surrounded by a specialized, extracellular matrix (ECM), the basement membrane (BM). LÄS MER
18. Rheology of Wheat Flour Doughs at Large Deformations and the Relation to Baking Quality and Physical Structure
Sammanfattning : The effects on dough rheology at large deformations in elongational flow and shear flow have been studied. The results are related to bread making quality in terms of bread volume and to the physical structure of the dough. A new method for evaluation of an instrumented mixograph is reported. LÄS MER
19. Rock Mechanical Consequences of Refrigeration. A Study Based on a Pilot Scale Rock Cavern
Sammanfattning : The deformation of a rock mass due to temperature decrease below freezing is very complex, since many factors are involved; thermal strain, strain due to stress change, stress re-distribution, ice formation and the temperature dependency of rock mechanical and thermo-physical properties. The objective of this study was to achieve a better understanding of the rock mass response to thermo-mechanical loading when storing low temperature products in rock caverns excavated in hard crystalline rock masses. 20. Sagittal plane knee translation in healthy and ACL deficient subjects : a methodological study in vivo with clinical implications
Sammanfattning : This study on human subjects, comprises of four cross sectional and one prospective cohort study. The general purpose of this work was to develop a technique for measuring in vivo, sagittal anterior-posterior translatory motions in the knee joint using a computerized electrogoniometer (CA-4000, OS Inc., Hayward CA, USA).
