  1. 21. The need of condition monitoring to support simulations when predicting system availability of Functional Products

    Författare :Björn Backe; Per-Olof Larsson-Kråik; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Datorstödd maskinkonstruktion; Computer Aided Design;

    Sammanfattning : Today, competition among product manufacturers has increased and many facebeing copied and thus losing their uniqueness. To differentiate on the market,new businesses, which extend the manufacturer’s responsibility throughsupporting and guaranteeing product performance, thus offering more value-creating activities, have received increasing interest. 2. 22. Data-driven methods for real-time voltage stability assessment

    Författare :Hannes Hagmar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; security assessment; neural networks; Dynamic voltage security margin; machine learning; voltage instability prediction; voltage stability;

    Sammanfattning : Voltage instability is a phenomenon that limits the operation and the transmission capacity of a power system. An operation state close to the security limits enables a cost-effective utilization of the system but it could also make the system more vulnerable to disturbances. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Solubility and polymorphism of molecular compounds

    Författare :Sandra Gracin; Åke C. Rasmuson; David J. W. Grant; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical engineering; solubility; prediction of solubility; UNIFAC; activity coefficients; activity of the solid phase; polymorphism; controlled crystallization; sonication.; Kemiteknik; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the controlled crystallization of small organic molecules and is focused on solubility and polymorphism. The solubility was determined for phenylacetic acid, p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, p-aminophenylacetic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and ibuprofen in both water and in a range of organic solvents. 4. 24. Ultrasound and molecular biomarkers for prediction of preterm delivery in different risk groups of singleton pregnancies

    Författare :Tove Wikström; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cervical length measurement; preterm birth; ; second trimester; screening; cost-effectiveness analyzes; progesterone; human microbiome; ; transcriptome; gene expression profiles; microRNA;

    Sammanfattning : Ultrasound and molecular biomarkers for prediction of preterm delivery in women with a singleton pregnancy Tove Wikström Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Institute of Clinical Sciences Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg Gothenburg, Sweden Background: Preterm delivery (PTD) is the leading cause of death in children under five years of age. Spontaneous PTD (sPTD) might be partly preventable by treating asymptomatic women having a short cervical length (CL) with vaginal progesterone. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Psychosocial consequences of false-positive mammography among women attending breast cancer screening. Assessment, prediction, and coping

    Författare :Anetta Bolejko; Institutionen för hälsovetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; women’s health; false-positive screening mammography; breast cancer screening; predictors; coping; Consequences of Screening – Breast Cancer questionnaire; Rasch model; psychometric evaluation;

    Sammanfattning : One side-effect of breast cancer (BC) screening is a false-positive mammogram among healthy women. That is, finding(s) on a screening mammogram that lead to additional breast examinations but where the woman is eventually considered free from BC. There is evidence of short-term psychosocial consequences of false-positive BC screening. LÄS MER
