6. Enantioselective biotransformations using engineered lipases from Candida antarctica
Sammanfattning : Enzymes are attractive catalysts in organic synthesis since they are efficient, selective and environmentally friendly. A large number of enzyme-catalyzed transformations have been described in the literature. LÄS MER
7. Lipase chemoselectivity - kinetics and applications
Sammanfattning : A chemoselective catalyst is preferred in a chemical reaction where protecting groups otherwise are needed. The two lipases Candida antarctica lipase B and Rhizomucor miehei lipase showed large chemoselectivity ratios, defined as (kcat/KM)OH / (kcat/KM)SH, in a transacylation reaction with ethyl octanoate as acyl donor and hexanol or hexanethiol as acyl acceptor (paper I). 8. Lipase-Catalyzed Syntheses of Telechelic Polyesters
Sammanfattning : Telechelic polyesters have successfully been synthesized with lipase-catalyzed polymerization. The produced telechelics had a high degree of difunctionalization, high purity (requiring little or no workup) and controlled degree of polymerization. The syntheses were performed in one-pot one-step reaction systems. LÄS MER
9. Lipase and ω-Transaminase : Biocatalytic Investigations
Sammanfattning : In a lipase investigation, Candida antarctica lipase B (CALB) are explored for enzyme catalytic promiscuity. Enzyme catalytic promiscuity is shown by enzymes catalyzing alternative catalytic transformations proceeding via different transition state structures than normal. LÄS MER
10. Determination of Fat-Soluble Vitamins in Foods Based on Supercritical Fluid Extraction
Sammanfattning : Sample clean-up methodologies based on supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) have been developed for determination of fat-soluble vitamins in foods. This thesis focuses on method development, stressing important issues concerning sample pre-treatment, extraction conditions and collection parameters. LÄS MER
