  1. 1. Predictor Antenna Systems: Exploiting Channel State Information for Vehicle Communications

    Författare :Hao Guo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 6G; Beyond 5G; temporal correlation; spatial correlation; wireless backhaul; outage probability; hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ ; channel state information CSI ; throughput; integrated access and backhaul IAB ; mobile relay; predictor antenna PA ; mobility; Marcum Q-function; relay; rate adaptation;

    Sammanfattning : Vehicle communication is one of the most important use cases in the fifth generation of wireless networks (5G).  The growing demand for quality of service (QoS) characterized by performance metrics, such as spectrum efficiency, peak data rate, and outage probability, is mainly limited by inaccurate prediction/estimation of channel state information (CSI) of the rapidly changing environment around moving vehicles. Författare :Hao Guo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; temporal correlation; relay; Internet-of-vehicles IoV ; reconfigurable intelligent surface; throughput; wireless backhaul; outage probability; channel state information CSI ; 5G B5G; spatial correlation; rate adaptation; mobile relay; 6G; vehicle-to-everything V2X ; Marcum Q-function; integrated access and backhaul IAB ; predictor antenna; blockage; millimeter wave;

    Sammanfattning : Internet-of-vehicles (IoV) is one of the most important use cases in the fifth generation (5G) of wireless networks and beyond. Here, IoV communications refer to two types of scenarios: serving the in-vehicle users with moving relays (MRs); and supporting vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications for, e.g., connected vehicle functionalities. 3. 3. On the Benefits of Moving Relay Nodes in Wireless Networks

    Författare :Sui Yutao; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; LTE; LTE-Advanced; Heterogeneous and small cell networks; Moving relay node; Fixed relay node;

    Sammanfattning : In order to meet the needs of high speed wireless connections, a new generation of cellular network, i.e., Long Term Evolution (LTE) has been standardized and deployed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). By employing ad- vanced smart antenna techniques, fast channel dependent scheduling, adaptive coding and modulation, etc. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Performance Assessment of Cooperative Relay Networks with Advanced Radio Transmission Techniques

    Sammanfattning : In the past decade, cooperative communications has been emerging as a pertinent technology for the current and upcoming generations of mobile communication infrastructure. The indispensable benefits of this technology have motivated numerous studies from both academia and industry on this area. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Extended mobile IP and support for global connectivity in hybrid networks

    Författare :Christer Åhlund; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mobile and Pervasive Computing; Distribuerade datorsystem;

    Sammanfattning : Mobility is an essential and necessary feature for roaming users who connect to wireless networks via access points. Access points may have different capabilities, be connected to different networks and be installed by different providers. A mobile host will discover multiple access points in this environment.
