26. Process Models for CO2 Migration and Leakage : Gas Transport, Pore-Scale Displacement and Effects of Impurities
Sammanfattning : Geological Carbon Storage (GCS) is considered as one of the key techniques to reduce the rate of atmospheric emissions of CO2 and thereby to contribute to controlling the global warming. A successful application of a GCS project requires the capability of the formation to trap CO2 for a long term. LÄS MER
27. Industrial Ecology and Development of Production Systems : Analysis of the CO2 Footprint of Cement
Sammanfattning : This research is an attempt to create a comprehensive assessment framework for identifying and assessing potential improvement options of cement production systems. From an environmental systems analysis perspective, this study provides both an empirical account and a methodological approach for quantifying the CO2 footprint of a cement production system. 29. Study of H2/CO/CO2 adsorption on MFI zeolites for CO2 selective WGS membrane reactor concept
Sammanfattning : The single-component adsorption behavior of CO, CO2 and multi-component adsorption of H2/CO2, CO/CO2, and H2/CO/CO2 on silicalite-1 and cation exchanged MZSM-5 zeolites (M = H, Na, and Ba) were investigated by a step change response method. Temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and in-situ fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy were also performed to study the type of adsorbed species and their thermal stabilities. LÄS MER
30. Experimental Studies on CO2 Capture Using Absorbent in a Polypropylene Hollow Fiber Membrane Contactor
Sammanfattning : In recent years, membrane gas absorption technology has been considered as one of the promising alternatives to conventional techniques for CO2 capture due to its favorable mass transfer performance. As a hybrid approach of chemical absorption and membrane separation, it exhibits a number of advantages, such as operational flexibility, compact structure, high surface-area-to-volume ratio, linear scale up, modularity and predictable performance.
