  1. 1. Experimental Studies on CO2 Capture Using Absorbent in a Polypropylene Hollow Fiber Membrane Contactor

    Författare :Yuexia Lu; Jinyue Yan; Erik Dahlquist; Umberto Desideri; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :CO2 capture; Simultaneous removal of CO2 and SO2; Hollow fiber membrane contactor; Membrane gas absorption; Partial wetting; Surface modification; CO2-avskiljning; samtidig avskiljning av CO2 och SO2; ihålig fiber; membran; gas absorption; vätning; ytmodifiering; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, membrane gas absorption technology has been considered as one of the promising alternatives to conventional techniques for CO2 capture due to its favorable mass transfer performance. As a hybrid approach of chemical absorption and membrane separation, it exhibits a number of advantages, such as operational flexibility, compact structure, high surface-area-to-volume ratio, linear scale up, modularity and predictable performance. The requirements of wood-based products with improved durability, for example, enhanced liquid repellence and UV and biological resistance, are still a challenge. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Numerical simulation of non-Newtonian fluids flow over surfaces

    Författare :Kazem Bazesefidpar; Outi Tammisola; Luca Brandt; Shahriar Afkhami; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; dynamic wetting; viscoelasticity; non-Newtonian fluids; contact- angle hysteresis; droplet spreading; self-propelled jumping; dynamisk vätning; viskoelasticitet; icke-Newtonska vätskor; kontaktlinjehysteres; dropparnas spridning på ytor; spontan hoppning av droppar från ytor; Teknisk mekanik; Engineering Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Wetting of surfaces by droplets of non-Newtonian fluids is important for various industrial and natural processes such as coating and cleaning of surfaces and inkjet printing, to name a few. Viscoelastic fluids are compounds of a very small amount of polymers and solvent. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Powder Bed Structure and Imbibition - A Study of Spray Dried Dairy Powders

    Författare :Erik Börjesson; Livsmedelsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; powder bed structure; Imbibition; powder morphology; porous media;

    Sammanfattning : The formation of lumps during powder dissolution is undesirable in most cases. In a world where the use of dry products is increasing, incomplete powder dissolution and lump formation can for instance affect the color of a paint or the nutritional content of baby food. LÄS MER
