21. Catalytic conversion of LignoBoost Kraft lignin into liquid products in near-critical water
Sammanfattning : Lignin, one of the three main components of lignocellulosic biomass, is the second most abundant organic polymer found on Earth. Due to its aromatic nature, lignin is recognized as being a potential feedstock for producing transportation fuel and high value-added chemicals. LÄS MER
22. Effects of Processing on Dietary Fibre in Vegetables
Sammanfattning : Several beneficial effects have been connected with dietary fibre. Insoluble fibre has a good faecal bulking capacity, whereas soluble and viscous dietary fibre has been shown to have beneficial effects on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. LÄS MER
23. A Catalytic and Mechanistic Investigation of Palladium-Phosphine Catalysed Aqueous Hydroxycarbonylation. Steric and Electronic Properties of the Ligands
Sammanfattning : The steric and electronic properties of eight water-soluble phosphines (1-8) were investigated by different methods. Phosphines 1-6 were tested as ligands in palladium catalysed hydroxycarbonylation of styrene. LÄS MER
24. Solution properties of a hydrophobically modified polymer
Sammanfattning : The influence of hydrophobic modification on solution properties of water-soluble polymers in the semi-dilute regime have been studied. The nonionic ethyl(hydroxyethyl)cellulose (EHEC) and its hydrophobically modified analogue (HM-EHEC) are used as model substances. LÄS MER
25. Association Phenomena Involving Hydrophobically Modified Polymers. Electrostatic and Hydrophobic Contributions
Sammanfattning : The electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions in aqueous solutions of hydrophobically-modified water-soluble non-ionic or ionic polymers, their mixtures with a second polymer, nonionic or of opposite charge, and their mixtures with surfactants of opposite charge have been investigated. The relative strength of the electrostatic and hydrophobic contributions has been modulated by a variation of the polymer charge density and the solution pH, and by a variation in the degree and strength of the hydrophobic modifications, respectively.
