21. NGOs as child rights implementers in India : How NGO workers negotiate human rights responsibility in 'partnership' with a neoliberal and restrictive state
Sammanfattning : Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) increasingly enter into “partnerships” with states to implement human rights, a phenomenon that has been studied both as a necessary inclusion of civil society in human rights practice, and as a slippery slope towards a neoliberal state retreat. What remains to be studied is how this partnership practice shapes the concepts of human rights and their duty bearers. LÄS MER

24. Aramaic Loanwords in Neo-Assyrian 900–600 B.C
Sammanfattning : This study aimed at identifying and analyzing Aramaic loanwords in Neo-Assyrian for the period 900–600 B.C. As two Semitic languages, Neo-Assyrian and Aramaic are sibling-descendants of a postulated common ancestor, Proto-Semitic. The study provides information about the contact between the two languages and about the people who spoke them. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : This dissertation contains an edition of Humfrey Lock’s (fl. 1560–1570) treatise on alchemy, and includes an introduction to the edition, explanatory notes and a glossary. The edition presents the text of Bodleian Library MS Ashmole 1490, which was copied out and annotated in 1590 by Dr Simon Forman (1552–1611). LÄS MER
