11. Development of high-Tc SQUID magnetometers for on-scalp MEG
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the development of high critical temperature superconducting quantum interference device (high-Tc SQUID) magnetometers based on bicrystal grain boundary and nanowire junctions for the potential use in on-scalp magnetoencephalography (MEG), which is a new generation MEG technique with reduced sensor-to-subject standoff distances.MEG is a method of mapping neural dynamics in the human brain by recording the magnetic fields produced by neural currents. 12. Engineering Emotional Values in Product Design : Kansei Engineering in Development
Sammanfattning : Feelings and impressions of a product are important for the decision of purchasing it or not. Designing attractive products therefore requires knowledge about the feelings and impressions the products evoke on the customer and the user. LÄS MER
13. Designing Feelings into Products : Integrating Kansei Engineering Methodology in Product Development
Sammanfattning : Tendencies in product development of today make it likely that many future products will be functional equivalent and therefore hard to distinguish between for the customer. Customers will decide by highly subjective criteria which product to purchase. LÄS MER
14. Development of the mineralogical path for geometallurgical modeling of iron ores
Sammanfattning : The demands for more effective utilization of ore bodies and proper risk management in the mining industry have resulted in a new cross discipline called geometallurgy. Geometallurgy connects geological, mineral processing and subsequent downstream processing information together to provide a comprehensive model to be used in production planning and management. 15. Development of Techniques for Characterization, Detection and Protein Profiling of Extracellular Vesicles
Sammanfattning : Nanosized extracellular vesicles (EVs, ∼30-2000 nm) have emerged as important mediators of intercellular communication, offering opportunities for both diagnostics and therapeutics. In particular, small EVs generated from the endolysosomal pathway (∼30-150 nm), referred to as exosomes, have attracted interest as a suitable biomarker for cancer diagnostics and treatment monitoring based on minimally invasive liquid biopsies.
