    Sammanfattning : Tactile perception is considered an important contributor to the overall consumer experience of a product. However, what physical properties that create the specifics of tactile perception, are still not completely understood. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Care for the New-Born : Breastfeeding and Skin-to-Skin Contact

    Författare :Paola Oras; Eva-Lotta Funkquist; Lena Hellström Westas; Tomas Ljungberg; Kerstin Hedberg Nyqvist; Jonna Bornemark; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Breastfeeding; Lactation; Human Milk; Newborn; Infant; Preterm Infant; Kangaroo Mother Care; Mother-infant interaction; Parent-Child Relations; Object Attachment; Self Efficacy; Implementation Science; Quality of healthcare; Quality improvement; Caring Sciences; Vårdvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Breastfeeding is associated with improved health in mothers and children and human milk is especially beneficial for preterm infants. The vast majority of pregnant women in Sweden intend to breastfeed, but breastfeeding rates are suboptimal, with even lower rates for preterm infants. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Parent-infant skin-to-skin contact studies : parent-infant interaction and oxytocin levels during skin-to-skin contact after Cesarean section and mother-infant skin-to-skin contact as treatment for breastfeeding problems

    Författare :Marianne Velandia; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :skin-to-skin contact;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate the impact of early skin-to-skin contact on maternal, paternal and infant interaction immediately after Cesarean section and personality profile in mothers. Furthermore, it was to study skin-to-skin contact between mothers and infants as a method to solve severe latch-on breastfeeding problems, even weeks after birth. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Limonene Hydroperoxides in Allergic Contact Dermatitis. Radical Formation, Sensitizing Capacity and Immunogenic Complex Formation

    Författare :Staffan Johansson; Göteborgs universitet; Göteborgs universitet; Gothenburg University; []
    Nyckelord :allergic contact dermatitis; contact allergy; immunogenic complex; limonene hydroperoxides; local lymph node assay; patch testing; radicals; sensitizing capacity; skin;

    Sammanfattning : Contact allergy to fragrance compounds is an increasing problem in the western countries today. R-Limonene is one of the most common fragrance compounds; it is used in hygiene products and cosmetics as well as in industrial products such as hand cleansers and degreasers. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Liquid metal microscale deposition for soft and stretchable skin-like electronics : Providing a soft and gentle contact to living beings

    Författare :Bei Wang; Klas Hjort; Zhigang Wu; Magnus Berggren; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; laser patterning; sacrificial mask; liquid metal; strain sensor; skin movement; masking; shrink film; 3D conformal masking; liquid metal particles; soft electronics; stretchable electronics; compliant electronics; skin-like electronics; epidermal electronics; micro-heater; particle sintering; enteroendocrine cells; localized ectopic expression; wettability; flexography printing; conformal transfer printing; hydro printing; plant physiology; drosophila;

    Sammanfattning : Skin-like electronics could provide a soft and gentle contact with living beings for perceiving and delivering the information of pressure, strain, temperature with higher spatial resolution and sensitivity than our skin, without disturbing the user. Gallium-based liquid metal (LM) is an excellent material for soft and stretchable skin-like devices, since it has high electrical and thermal conductivity, flowability, and self-healable capability.
