  1. 6. Lateral epicondylalgia A new structured treatment program with an inter-disciplinary approach

    Författare :Pia Nilsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; elbow; function; interdisciplinary; lateral epicondylalgia; pain; PRTEE-S; recurrence period; sick-leave; training program;

    Sammanfattning : Conclusion: Interdisciplinary cooperation in the treatment of patients with acute lateral epicondylalgia benefits the patients by shortening the rehabilitation period and provides health care professionals the opportunity for an improved learning and exchanging experiences. There was a strong will to cooperate and the risks of side effects with corticosteroid injections and NSAID are well-known although they are the most common treatments. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Physical activity in Parkinson’s disease : measurement, correlates and effects of balance training

    Författare :Håkan Nero; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate correlates of physical activity in older adults with Parkinson’s disease and to evaluate the effects, both short- and long term, of the HiBalance program on physical activity and sedentary. Further, to investigate the associated factors of a training effect on physical activity. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Efficient Document Image Binarization using Heterogeneous Computing and Interactive Machine Learning

    Författare :Florian Westphal; Håkan Grahn; Niklas Lavesson; Marcus Liwicki; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; image binarization; heterogeneous computing; recurrent neural networks; interactive machine learning; historical documents;

    Sammanfattning : Large collections of historical document images have been collected by companies and government institutions for decades. More recently, these collections have been made available to a larger public via the Internet. However, to make accessing them truly useful, the contained images need to be made readable and searchable. LÄS MER
