21. Vibrational Response Reconstruction and Model Validation
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, laboratory response reconstruction andcomputational model validation is investigated. The former concernsapplications of control theory as the objective is to reproduce acertain loading for a known component, while the latter concernsoptimization of a parameterized model as the objective is to modifya computational model to mimic a certain component's behavior. 22. Advances in the Management of Facial Paralysis Sequelae
Sammanfattning : Background: Despite advances in the management of facial paralysis and its associated sequelae, therapies targeting the lower facial region remain underdeveloped. This thesis aimed to improve both the diagnostic and therapeutic modalities for facial paralysis, with a focus on the lower face. LÄS MER
23. Dynamic response reconstruction using passive components
Sammanfattning : In many testing applications within the field of structural dynamics, such as noise and vibration harshness, rattle and squeak, or durability testing in the automotive and truck industries, large hydraulic or electromagnetic actuators are used to excite the tested structure. Such actuators are mounted in the laboratory in a fixed configuration referred to here as a test rig. LÄS MER

25. Towards unbiased 3D reconstruction : in single-particle cryo-electron microscopy
Sammanfattning : Cryo-electron microscopy of freestanding molecules (single-particles) plays a pivotal role in the difficult and pressing challenge of determining the structures of large macromolecular complexes. Molecular volumes are generated by aligning large sets of randomly oriented two-dimensional (2D) projection images in three dimensions (3D) before reconstruction is performed using tomographic techniques.
