  1. 31. Clinical reasoning focused on clients’ behaviour change in physiotherapy : Development and evaluation of the Reasoning 4 Change instrument

    Författare :Maria Elvén; Anne Söderlund; Jacek Hochwälder; Elizabeth Dean; Lena Nilsson-Wikmar; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Assessment; Behaviour change; Clinical reasoning; Education; Functional behavioural analysis; Physiotherapy; Reliability; Scale development; Validity; fysioterapi; Physiotherapy;

    Sammanfattning : With the recognition of the impact of lifestyle behaviours on health and the evidence of incorporating behavioural considerations in physiotherapy, there is a need to advance the clinical reasoning of physiotherapists. Clinical reasoning encompasses the thinking and decision-making processes guiding client management and is a core competency of physiotherapists. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Carbide and MAX-Phase Engineering by Thin Film Synthesis

    Författare :Jens-Petter Palmquist; Ulf Jansson; M. Jochen Schneider; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Inorganic chemistry; Thin films; microstructure; epitaxy; carbide; WC; MAX-phase; Ti3SiC2; DC magnetron sputtering; PVD; Reciprocal Space Mapping; RSM; Oorganisk kemi; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis reports on the development of low-temperature processes for transition metal carbide and MAX-phase thin film growth. Magnetron sputtering and evaporation, far from thermodynamical equilibrium, have been utilised to engineer the properties of the films by physical and chemical control. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Ternary Block Copolymer - Water - "Oil" Systems: Effects of "Oil" Type and Block Size on Phase Behaviour and Structure

    Författare :Peter Holmqvist; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; poly propylene oxide ; poly ethylene oxide ; poloxamer; micelles; lyotropic liquid crystals; SAXS; structure; phase behavior; self-assembly; block copolymers; amphiphiles; poly tetrahydrofurane ; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : It has recently been established in our group that amphiphilic block copolymers consisting of a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic part can self-assemble in the presence of selective solvents (“water” and “oil”) into a variety of different solution and lyotropic liquid crystalline microstructures. The effects of the “oil” type, hydrophilic block size and hydrophobic block type on the phase behavior and microstructure of ternary isothermal copolymer - oil - water systems have been addressed in this thesis. 4. 34. Partitioning of biomolecules in thermoseparating polymer-water two-phase systems

    Författare :Hans-Olof Johansson; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aqueous two-phase system; temperature-induced phase separation; amino acid and peptide separation; polymer; partitioning; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : The partitioning behaviour of different types of molecules in thermoseparating two-phase systems has been studied. A thermoseparating two phase system was formed by heating a water solution, which contained a thermoseparating polymer, above the cloud point temperature. LÄS MER

  5. 35. On the crystallization of membrane proteins in lipidic sponge and cubic phases

    Författare :Pia Jeanette Hindrichsen; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; monoolein MO ; selachyl alcohol; cubic phase; sponge phase; small angle X-ray scattering; protein crystallization; phytantriol PT ;

    Sammanfattning : Membrane proteins are involved in many important biological processes and in order to understand their mechanism, their three-dimensional structures need to be elucidated to high resolution by for example X-ray crystallography. However, there is only limited structural knowledge for membrane proteins which is partly explained by the difficulties in obtaining well-diffracting crystals. LÄS MER
