26. Weaned Upon A Time : Studies of the Infant Diet in Prehistory
Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with how prehistoric infants were fed in different physical and cultural environments, and in particular what impact the economic, social, and epidemiological changes associated with the development of agriculture had on infant feeding practices. In order to examine these effects, stable isotope ratio analysis has been used to assess the duration of breastfeeding and weaning in a variety of prehistoric contexts. LÄS MER

28. Mössbauer studies of electron population in some iron complexes
Sammanfattning : A Mössbauer effect measuring system has been constructed. With the use of a liquid helium cryostat measurements are performed at room liquid nitrogen and liquid helium temperature. A superconducting magnet with fields up to 5 Tesla has been used in the cryostat. LÄS MER
29. Towards an understanding of diazocyte development and diazotrophy in the marine cyanobacterium Trichodesmium
Sammanfattning : Trichodesmium is a filamentous cyanobacterium of great ecological significance as it contributes significantly to primary production in oceans through an efficient nitrogen fixation strategy, including a unique cell type, the diazocyte. The aim of this thesis was to generate a deeper understanding of the structural and molecular background related to the development of diazocytes and the maintenance of diazotrophy in Trichodesmium erythraeum IMS101. 30. Optimizing liquid phase sintering of ferrous powder metallurgical materials
Sammanfattning : The properties of powder metallurgical, PM, components are dependent on that the dilemma of full density and suitable microstructure is resolved. Whilst it is often possible to achieve full density, it may or may not coincide with a suitable microstructure. LÄS MER
