    Författare :Carin Graminius; Kultur och Samhälle Informationspraktiker: Kommunikation; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; open letters; research communication; climate change;

    Sammanfattning : What happens to researchers when the topic they study poses an existential threat to the world as we know it? When communication on the topic is politically polarized, but at the same time institutionally encouraged and existentially needed? By what means do researchers come to navigate this complex communication environment? The climate crisis and changing social, political, and academic conditions bring such questions to the forefront in researchers’ public communication on climate issues. This thesis engages with open letters as a form of research communication to explore the practices climate scholars engage in to convey information and inspire urgent action in climate matters.     Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; genetic algorithm; Monte Carlo tree search; deep reinforcement learning; tactical decision-making; autonomous driving; neural network;

    Sammanfattning : The tactical decision-making task of an autonomous vehicle is challenging, due to the diversity of the environments the vehicle operates in, the uncertainty in the sensor information, and the complex interaction with other road users. This thesis introduces and compares three general approaches, based on reinforcement learning, to creating a tactical decision-making agent. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Navigating a Network of Competing Demands : Accountability as Issue Formulation and Role Attribution across Organisational Boundaries

  4. 19. Navigating Sustainability Transformations: Backcasting, transdisciplinarity and social learning

    Författare :Johan Holmén; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : Complex and persistent sustainability challenges necessitate transformations into futures that are fundamentally different to what was before. Such change processes cannot be planned in traditional ways; they require reflexive modes of governing where we collectively learn how to navigate uncharted terrain while exploring it. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Decision-making in obstetric emergencies. Individual differences and professional boundaries

    Författare :Gabriel Raoust; Lund Obstetrik och gynekologi; []

    Sammanfattning : In affluent nations, variations in obstetric care, particularly during emergencies, perplexingly manifest in differing intervention and outcome rates. Although these variations mirror systemic disparities, they are also suggested to reflect the interplay of social and professional interactions between obstetricians/gynecologists and midwives, stemming from adherence to distinct professional paradigms and the influence of personal factors on decision-making and collaboration.
