  1. 21. Interaktion och problemlösning : att kommunicera om och med matematik

    Författare :Eva Riesbeck; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Learning; communicative practices; interaction; mathematical concepts; contextual effects on understanding; Pedagogisk psykologi; pedagogisk metodik; inlärning; matematik; matematikundervisning; problemlösning; grundskolan;

    Sammanfattning : The present study shows how students, eleven years old, solve problems in mathematics when they work together in groups. The main question raised is about the difficulties students experience in finding the relationship between mathematics and everyday discourse and vice versa. LÄS MER

  2. 22. The concept concept in mathematics education : A concept analysis

    Sammanfattning : For the Armenian-Russian mathematician, theologian and art-theoretician Pavel Florensky (1882–1937), the so-called reverse perspective of the Byzantine cult-image (in Greek: eikon) functioned not only as a phenomenon within painting, but also as an expression of a world-view that should ultimately define a cultural distinction between Russia and Europe. Florensky argued in various ways that the Russian-Orthodox reverse perspective represents ethical and aesthetical values that are superior to the Western linear perspective. LÄS MER

  4. 24. PDEModelica – A High-Level Language for Modeling with Partial Differential Equations

    Författare :Levon Saldamli; Peter Fritzson; Bernhard Bachmann; Francesco di Casella; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mathematical modeling; PDEModelica; Modelica; object-oriented modeling; equation-based modeling; declarative modeling; high-level modeling languages; mathematical modeling languages; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes work on a new high-level mathematical modeling language and framework called PDEModelica for modeling with partial differential equations. It is an extension to the current Modelica modeling language for object-oriented, equation-based modeling based on differential and algebraic equations. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Environment support for building structured mathematical models

    Författare :Johan Herber; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is about two topics. It describes a high-level programming environment for scientific computing, called ObjectMath, and several contributions to this environment. It also analyses the concept of software development environment architecture, in particular with respect to the ObjectMath environment. LÄS MER
