7. Laser welding of boron steels for light-weight vehicle applications
Sammanfattning : Laser beam welding has gained a significant interest during the last two decades. The suitability of the process for high volume production has the possibility to give a strong advantage compared to several other welding methods. However, it is important to have the process in full control since various quality issues may otherwise occur. LÄS MER
8. Random Choice over a Continuous Set of Options
Sammanfattning : Random choice theory has traditionally modeled choices over a -nite number of options. This thesis generalizes the literature by studyingthe limiting behavior of choice models as the number of optionsapproach a continuum. The thesis uses the theory of random elds, extreme value theoryand point processes to calculate this limiting behavior. 9. The Impact of the Skin Effect on Deep Submicron Integrated Circuits
Sammanfattning : Since the first chip was manufactured in a CMOS technology there has been a drive to shrink dimensions of both wires and transistors. The reason is that down-scaling enables designs with more functionality and higher performance. However, with the 0.25um process, interconnects became as important as the gate delay. LÄS MER
