11. Characterization of Bacterial Biofilms for Wastewater Treatment
Sammanfattning : Research performed at the Division of Environmental Microbiology has over the last years resulted in the isolation of possible bacterial key-organisms with efficient nutrient removal properties (Comamonas denitrificans, Brachymonas denitrificans, Aeromonas hydrophila). Effective use of these organisms for enhanced nutrient removal in wastewater treatment applications requires the strains to be retained, to proliferate and to maintain biological activity within theprocess. 12. Applications for Molten Carbonate Fuel Cells
Sammanfattning : Molten Carbonate Fuel cells are high temperature fuel cells suitable for distributed generation and combined heat and power, and are today being installed on commercial basis in sizes from 100kW to several MW. Novel applications for MCFC which have attracted interest lately are MCFC used for CO2 separation from combustion flue gas, and high temperature electrolysis with reversible fuel cells. LÄS MER
13. Molten carbonate fuel cells for electrolysis
Sammanfattning : The molten carbonate fuel cell has evolved to current megawatt-scale commercial power plants. When using the fuel cell for electrolysis, it provides a promising option for producing fuel gases such as hydrogen and syngas. The cell can thereby operate reversibly as a dual energy converter for electricity generation and fuel gas production. LÄS MER
14. Interfacial Adhesion Failure : Impact on print-coating surface defects
Sammanfattning : The aim of this work was to develop a solid knowledge on formulation effects controlling offset ink-paper coating adhesion and to identify key factors of the coating and printing process affecting it. Focus lay on comprehending the impact of pigment dispersant on ink-paper coating adhesion and ultimately on the print quality of offset prints. LÄS MER
15. Application of Nanomaterials for the Removal of Hexavalent Chromium and their Biological Implications
Sammanfattning : The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) stated that chromium in the form of Cr(VI) has been deemed to be a class-A human carcinogen. It has been a major contaminant associated with wastewater. LÄS MER
