6. Mesostructured particulate silica materials with tunable pore size : Synthesis, characterization and applications
Sammanfattning : Colloidal assemblies of surfactants and polymers in aqueous solutions have been used by human mankind for hundreds of years and they are of great importance in many of our technological processes, such as fabrication of soap and papermaking. Less than two decades ago the idea of using colloidal assemblies as templates of inorganic materials was borne. LÄS MER
7. Molecularly Imprinted Polymer Beads-Synthesis, Evaluation and Applications
Sammanfattning : Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are artificial receptors designed for the selective recognition of template molecules. These polymers have been applied in analytical separations, as chemical sensors and in drug delivery system due to their low cost and high stability. LÄS MER
8. Functional and structural properties of eukaryotic DNA polymerase epsilon
Sammanfattning : In eukaryotes there are three DNA polymerases which are essential for the replication of chromosomal DNA: DNA polymerase alpha (Pol alpha), DNA polymerase delta (Pol delta) and DNA polymerase epsilon (Pol epsilon). In vitro studies of viral DNA replication showed that Pol alpha and Pol delta are sufficient for DNA replication on both leading and lagging DNA strands, thus leaving the function of Pol epsilon unknown. 9. POROUS POLYMERS AND DESIGNED SORBENTS FOR APPLICATIONS IN BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH
Sammanfattning : Everyday millions of bioanalyses are performed in clinical laboratories, hospitals and research centers, where technicians and bio-analysts utilize analytical chemistry principles and instruments to serve medicine and biomedical research. A method routinely used for sample preparation in bioanalysis is solid-phase extraction (SPE). LÄS MER
10. Biosensing and Protein Array Design using Lipid Assemblies
Sammanfattning : Biomolecular sensing often includes immobilization of biomolecules, e.g. DNA, antibodies etc., to solid supports, where they act as selective recognition elements. LÄS MER
