  1. 16. Energy Use as a Consequence of Everyday Life

    Författare :Mattias Hellgren; Kajsa Ellegård; Tommy Svensson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Time use; time-geography; energy use; everyday life; sequence analysis; clustering; Tidsanvändning; tidsgeografi; energianvändning; vardagsliv; sekvensanalys; klusteranalys;

    Sammanfattning : Energy use is a part of everyday life and the use of energy is a part of the global climate change. Policy makers urge individuals to change their daily behaviour in order to mitigate climate change and care for our common environment.The dissertation regards daily behaviour as activities performed by individuals. 2. 17. A Needs-Based Approach towards Fostering Long-term Engagement with Energy Feedback among Local Residents

    Författare :Aram Mäkivierikko; Fredrik Gröndahl; Olga Kordas; Hossein Shahrokni; Paula M. Bögel; Cristian M Bogdan; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Energy feedback; Consumer engagement; Energy behaviour; Social networks; Smart grids; Design principles; Energiåterkoppling; konsumentengagemang; Energibeteende; Sociala nätverk; Smarta elnät; Designprinciper; Industrial Ecology; Industriell ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : In order to reach the current climate goals, energy consumption needs to decrease in all sectors, including households, which produce 20% of the European emissions. However, it is difficult to increase residents’ engagement in their household electricity consumption as it is an ‘invisible’ form of energy, the monetary incentives are often too small and environmental incentives are not very effective. 3. 18. Exploring spatial and temporal resolution in energy systems modelling : a model-based analysis focused on the developing electricity systems

    Författare :Nandi Moksnes; Viktoria Martin; Mark I. Howells; William Usher; Holger Rogner; Hannah Daly; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy system optimisation modelling; Global sensitivity analysis; Robust decision methods; Geospatial electrification model; SDG7; SDG13.; Energisystem; optimering; energimodellering; Global känslighetsanalys; Robust decision methods; geospatial elektrifieringsmodell; Globala mål 7; Globala mål 13; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : The energy system is undergoing a transition in many parts of the world with this transition being driven by several factors such as climate change, and economic and social development. Agenda 2030, with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has set the direction on where development should be focussed. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Energy Feedback and Demand Response Strategies : Exploring Household Engagement and Response Using a Mixed Methods Approach

    Författare :Anders Nilsson; Maria Malmström; Cajsa Bartusch; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy feedback; demand response; household energy consumption; energy efficiency and conservation; demand flexibility; smart grids; smart homes; Industrial Ecology; Industriell ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Real-time energy feedback (EF) and demand response using dynamic pricing tariffs (DR) have been suggested as effective intervention strategies to meet the need for increased energy efficiency and demand flexibility in the residential sector. Although previous studies provide some empirical support for the effectiveness of EF and DR, evaluation approaches used in practical experiments and field trials commonly suffer from several methodological shortcomings, preventing deeper of knowledge on the potential and barriers for EF and DR to influence household energy consumption. 5. 20. Energy Efficiency in Residential Buildings in Mozambique - Measurements and Simulations

    Författare :Gabriel Auziane; Byggproduktion; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy; Building; Measurements; Simulations; DEROB-LTH; Mozambique; Subtropical and Tropical climates; Energy efficiency; PV system; Electrical energy savings.;

    Sammanfattning : Mozambique, situated in south-east Africa, has sub-tropical and tropical climate and plenty of natural resources for energy production. The country is however poor, and only about 25% of the population has access to electricity from the grid. LÄS MER
