  1. 1. DC-DC Converters - Dynamic Model Design and Experimental Verification

    Författare :Bengt Johansson; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; robotics; buck; dc-dc converter; modeling; audio susceptibility; current-mode control; load current; gain scheduling; current transformer; experimental verification; Electronics and Electrical technology; Automation; Elektronik och elektroteknik; Elektroteknik; Electrical engineering; reglerteknik; robotteknik; Automatiska system; control engineering;

    Sammanfattning : To obtain high performance control of a dc-dc converter, a good model of the converter is needed. The load usually affects the dynamics and one way to take this into consideration is to regard the load as a part of the converter. The load is often the most variable part of this system. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On Distributed Optimization in Networked Systems

    Författare :Björn Johansson; Mikael Johansson; Asuman Ozdaglar; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; convex optimization; resource allocation; networked systems; peer-to-peer; distributed optimization; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Numerous control and decision problems in networked systems can be posed as optimization problems. Examples include the framework of network utility maximization for resource allocation in communication networks, multi-agent coordination in robotics, and collaborative estimation in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). 3. 3. Coordination of cross-carrier truck platooning

    Författare :Alexander Johansson; Jonas Mårtensson; Karl H. Johansson; Hani Mahmassani; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The need for sustainable transportation solutions is urgent as the demand for mobility of goods and people is expected to multiply in the upcoming decades. One promising solution is truck platooning, which shows great potential in reducing the energy consumption and operational costs of trucks. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Distributed resource allocation in networked systems using decomposition techniques

    Författare :Björn Johansson; Mikael Johansson; Daniel Palomar; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : The Internet and power distribution grids are examples of ubiquitous systems that are composed of subsystems that cooperate using a communication network. We loosely define such systems as networked systems. These systems are usually designed by using trial and error. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Microscopic Simulation of Pedestrian Traffic

    Författare :Fredrik Johansson; Jan Lundgren; Andreas Tapani; Anders Peterson; Anders Johansson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : There has recently been a renewed interest in planning for pedestrian traffic, primarily in connection to public transport interchange stations, since these are important for public transport to constitute an attractive alternative to car usage. This thesis concerns microscopic simulation of pedestrian traffic, which is a promising tool for analyzing and predicting the traffic situation in a given pedestrian facility; particularly powerful when the traffic is congested.
