16. Oxidation induced failure of superalloys: High temperature crack growth and oxide scale properties
Sammanfattning : Gas turbine materials are designed to work in extreme environments in high temperature with an oxidising environment and variable mechanical loading. The study of high temperature fatigue properties of these materials is therefore important. LÄS MER
17. Urinary tract infection in small children: aspects of bacteriology, vesicoureteral reflux and renal damage
Sammanfattning : Background: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a prevalent bacterial infection in children. The diagnosis is based on growth of bacteria in urine specimen and treatment is chosen out of knowledge of the present antimicrobial resistance situation. Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is a well-known risk factor for UTI in children. LÄS MER
18. Genetic Control of Annual Growth Rhythm in the Conifer Norway Spruce (Picea Abies L. Karst)
Sammanfattning : Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst) is a conifer belonging to the group gymnosperms and is an ecologically and economically important species in several parts of Europe. LÄS MER
19. Reducing water damage by using a holistic approach to costs, occurrence and solutions in buildings
Sammanfattning : A large amount of water damage cases and resources are annually reported and spent on water damage in Sweden from cases occurring in buildings from building services such as tap water-, sewage, heating systems, household appliances such as refrigerators, freezers and dishwashers and inadequate waterproof membranes in wet rooms. These water damage cases in buildings cause several problems in the built environment regarding economic, environmental, and social aspects of sustainability such as unhealthy indoor environments due to higher levels of moisture, mold growth, and redundant usage of building materials and resources in reparations and renovations of water damaged constructions, immense amounts of monetary resources spent annually by both residents, building owners and insurance companies to restore the buildings to their designed purpose. 20. Initiation and early crack growth in VHCF of stainless steels : Experimental and theoretical analysis
Sammanfattning : Mechanical fatigue is a failure phenomenon that occurs due to repeated application of mechanical loads. Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF) is considered as the domain of fatigue life greater than 10 million load cycles. LÄS MER
