6. Charged kaon and proton production in B-hadron decays
Sammanfattning : The production of charged kaons and protons in B-hadron decays has been measured in e+e- annihilations at centre-of-mass energies corresponding to the Z0 mass. In total 1.6 million hadronic Z0 decays were analysed, corresponding to about 690000 B-hadron decays. LÄS MER
7. Λ/K0s Associated with a Jet in Central Pb–Pb Collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV Measured with the ALICE Detector
Sammanfattning : In high energy heavy ion collisions, the QCD matter undergoes a phase transition to a hot and dense strongly coupled Quark Gluon Plasma, where quarks and gluons are deconfined in a volume of nuclear dimensions. At intermediate pT, 2 < p T < 8 GeV/c, a decoupling from pure hydrodynamical flow is observed, most noticeable in central collisions, demonstrated by the peak in the ratio of baryons to mesons, e. 8. Studies of Heavy Baryons in DELPHI and Radiation Monitoring in DØ
Sammanfattning : Between the years 1992 and 1995 about 3.5 million hadronic Z decays were collected by the DELPHI detector at CERN. This data has been used to measure the production and lifetime of the beauty strange baryon Ξb,in the inclusive decay channel Ξb →Ξ-ℓ- X. LÄS MER
9. Study of Ξ-Hadron Correlations in pp Collisions at √s = 13 TeV Using the ALICE Detector
Sammanfattning : By colliding heavy nuclei at high energies, which is done at RHIC and the LHC, a strongly interacting Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) is created. This manifests itself through several different signatures, which until recently was thought to uniquely probe the QGP. LÄS MER
10. Developing the Angantyr model and extending colour reconnection for heavy-ion collisions in Pythia
Sammanfattning : This thesis is composed of four papers, the first two show the attempts made to extend the Pythia event generator to simulate heavy-ion collision events. The other two papers show methods to improve the hadronization mechanism in the Pythia model for a bettter agreement with the experimental data of pp and heavy-ion collisions. LÄS MER
