  1. 1. Natural Ventilation and Air Infiltration in Large Single‑Zone Buildings : Measurements and Modelling with Reference to Historical Churches

    Författare :Abolfazl Hayati; Magnus Mattsson; Mats Sandberg; Jens Fransson; Guilherme Carrilho da Graça; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Natural ventilation; Airing; Air infiltration; Single-sided ventilation; Cross flow; Large single zones; Historical Churches; Model evaluation optimization; Field measurements; Wind tunnel; Indoor climate and Energy simulation; IDA-ICE; Tracer gas technique; Pressurization test.; Naturlig ventilation; Vädring; Luftinfiltration; Ensidig ventilation; Tvärdrag; Höga en-zonsbyggnader; Kulturhistoriska kyrkor; Modellutvärdering optimering; Fältmätningar; Vindtunnel; Inomhusklimat och energisimulering; IDA-ICE; Spårgas teknik; Trycksättningstest.; Hållbar stadsutveckling; Sustainable Urban Development;

    Sammanfattning : Natural ventilation is the dominating ventilation process in ancient buildings like churches, and also in most domestic buildings in Sweden and in the rest of the world. These buildings are naturally ventilated via air infiltration and airing. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Levels and sources of organophosphorus flame retardants and plasticizers in indoor and outdoor environments

    Författare :Anneli Marklund; Peter Haglund; Barbro Andersson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; organophosphate esters; OPs; human exposure; air; dust; sewage treatment plants; sludge; oil; snow; deposition; flame retardants; plasticizers; analysis; TCEP; TPP; TCPP; TBP; TBEP; Environmental chemistry; Miljökemi;

    Sammanfattning : Global consumption of organophosphate esters (OPs), which are used as flame retardants and plasticizers, is rapidly increasing. Their use as additives in diverse applications poses a risk as they may be emitted from the products they are added to and be further transported in the environment. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Distribution of Ventilation Air and Heat by Buoyancy Forces inside Buildings : An Experimental Study

    Författare :Claes Blomqvist; Mats Sandberg; Per Heiselberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building ventilation; thermal forces; buoyancy; gravity currents; large openings; heating; air quality; forced convection; free convection; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The main task of the ventilation system in a building is to maintain the air quality and (together with the heating or cooling system) the thermal climate at an acceptable level within the building. This means that a sufficient amount of ventilation air at the appropriate temperature and quality must be supplied to satisfy thermal comfort and air quality demands and that this air is distributed to the parts of the building where people reside. 4. 4. Safety and biological aspects of present techniques of haemodialysis

    Författare :Per Jonsson; Hans Dietrich Polaschegg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :haemodialysis; safety; leakage current; central dialysis catheter; microbubbles; microemboli; air contamination; transfusion medicine; transfusionsmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Haemodialysis (HD) is a treatment in which blood from the patient is lead through a tubing system into a dialysis device in a extracorporeal circuit. This circuit contains semipermeable membranes (dialyzer). Blood with uraemic toxins flows on one side, and a salt solution flows on the other side. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Presence of microemboli during haemodialysis and methods to reduce the exposure to microbubbles

    Författare :Forsberg Ulf; Bernd Stegmayr; Per Jonsson; Ingela Fehrman Ekholm; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Haemodialysis; in vivo; microemboli; microbubbles; dialyzer; air trap; venous chamber;

    Sammanfattning : Despite chronic dialysis treatment, patients with end stage renal disease undergoing maintenance haemodialysis (HD) remain at a substantially increased risk of morbidity. Previous reports using Doppler ultrasound (DU) during HD have revealed microembolic signals (ME) in the venous circulation. LÄS MER
