  1. 21. Unraveling the structures of complex nanocrystalline materials by combining TEM and XRPD – development and application

    Författare :Magdalena Ola Cichocka; Xiaodong Zou; Joke Hadermann; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Structure determination; 3D electron diffraction; Complex materials; X-ray powder diffraction; Transmission electron microscopy; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Knowledge of the three-dimensional (3D) atomic structure of materials is essential to a fundamental understanding of their properties. The key to understanding the functionality of many materials, particularly those of commercial and industrial interest, is often hidden in the details at the nanoscale. LÄS MER

  4. 24. In-situ phase studies of the Zr-H system

    Författare :Tuerdi Maimaitiyili; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Zirconium hydride; synchrotron X-ray diffraction; neutron diffraction; phase transformation; in-situ hydrogen charging; hydrogen related degradation; in situ phase transformation; hydrogen embrittlement; hydrogen charging; zirconium hydride; γ-ZrH; synchrotron X-ray diffraction; neutron diffraction; hydrogen induced degradation;

    Sammanfattning : Zirconium alloys are widely used in the nuclear industry because of their high strength, good corrosion resistance and low neutron absorption cross-section. However, zirconium has strong affinity for hydrogen, which may lead to hydrogen concentration build-up over time during a corrosion reaction when exposed to water. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Transition Metal Hydride Complexes and Hydrogenated Gallium Clusters : Synthesis and Structural Properties

    Författare :Henrik Fahlquist; Dag Noréus; Maximilian Fichtner; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Metal hydrides; Solid state Synthesis; X-ray diffraction; Neutron Scattering; strukturkemi; Structural Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Synthesis and structural characterisation of metal hydrides in two important systems are presented. The first system presented is low valent cobalt and nickel complex hydrides with the compositions BaMg5Co2H10, RbMg5CoNiH10, SrMg2CoH7and Sr4Mg4Co3H19 featuring nickel with oxidation state of 0 and cobalt with oxidation state +I and -I.
