1. Sustaining Sustainable Behaviours of Citizens by Creating Value in Their Everyday Life
Sammanfattning : Over 60% of global greenhouse gas emissions derive from household consumption patterns. To reach the 1.5-degree target set in the Paris Agreement, new interventions to influence household behaviours are needed. This thesis examined two areas, household electricity consumption and waste sorting, where behaviour plays a large role. LÄS MER
2. Food waste reduction in the public catering sector
Sammanfattning : Food waste is attracting global attention and there are stated ambitions to halve food waste by 2030. This thesis presents detailed information on quantities of food waste in the food service sector, with particular focus on the Swedish public catering sector. LÄS MER
3. Interference alignment and power control for wireless interference networks
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the design of efficient transmission schemes forwireless interference networks, when certain channel state information(CSI) is available at the terminals. In wireless interference networks multiple source-destination pairsshare the same transmission medium for the communications. 4. Non-intrusive instrumentation and estimation : Applications for control of an additive manufacturing process
Sammanfattning : For integration of additive manufacturing into industrial production, there is a need for capable yet robust automation solutions. Such solutions are to ensure consistent process outputs, both with regard to deposit geometry and material properties. LÄS MER
5. The Karma of Products : Exploring the Causality of Environmental Pressure with Causal Loop Diagram and Environmental Footprint
Sammanfattning : Environmental pressures from consumer products and mechanisms of predetermination were examined in this thesis using causal loop diagram (CLD) and life cycle assessment (LCA) footprinting to respectively illustrate and provide some indicators about these mechanisms. Theoretical arguments and their practical implications were subjected to qualitative and quantitative analysis, using secondary and primary data. LÄS MER
