1. CO2 separation using ionic liquid-based absorbents : thermodynamics and kinetics
Sammanfattning : Ionic liquids (ILs) have shown great potential to be used as absorbents for CO2 separation owing to their unique properties such as immeasurably low vapour pressure, high thermal stability, high CO2 affinity, and tunable structure. A huge amount of researches have been carried out, and most of them focused on developing novel ILs for CO2 separation. LÄS MER
2. Designing metallic glasses : Alloying, properties, and degrees of freedom
Sammanfattning : The present design rules for metallic glasses with respect to glass formation, thermal stability (resistance to crystallisation), and material properties can still be improved. A main design rule is to use thermodynamic calculations to determine the composition of eutectic points in the phase space. LÄS MER
3. Crystallization of Parabens : Thermodynamics, Nucleation and Processing
Sammanfattning : In this work, the solubility of butyl paraben in 7 pure solvents and in 5 different ethanol-water mixtures has been determined from 1 ˚C to 50 ˚C. The solubility of ethyl paraben and propyl paraben in various solvents has been determined at 10 ˚C. LÄS MER
4. Microscopic Properties of Superdeformed Nuclei
Sammanfattning : Many high spin rotational bands in superdeformed nuclei have been found in the A ~ 140-150 region, but so far no linking transitions to known normal-deformed states have been found in these nuclei. Therefore, configuration and spin assignments have to be based on indirect spectroscopic information. LÄS MER
5. Hydrogen Storage Materials : Design, Catalysis, Thermodynamics, Structure and Optics
Sammanfattning : Hydrogen is abundant, uniformly distributed throughout the Earth's surface and its oxidation product (water) is environmentally benign. Owing to these features, it is considered as an ideal synthetic fuel for a new world energetic matrix (renewable, secure and environmentally friendly) that could allow a sustainable future development.
