  1. 1. Regioselective Heck Coupling Reactions : Focus on Green Chemistry

    Författare :Karl S. A. Vallin; Anders Hallberg; Mats Larhed; Walter Cabri; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Medicinal Chemistry; läkemedelskemi;

    Sammanfattning : Carbon-carbon bond formation reactions are among the most important processes in chemistry, as they represent key steps in the synthesis of more complex molecules from simple precursors. This thesis describes mainly the development of novel regioselective applications of the mild and versatile palladium-catalyzed carbon-carbon coupling method, commonly known as the Heck reaction. 2. 2. The value of new sonographic modalities, demographic, biometric and proliferative variables for the risk prediction in endometrial cancer

    Författare :Rasmus W Green; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Endometrial cancer is the sixth most common type of cancer among women worldwide and constitutes 4.8% of all cancer in women. The incidence is highest in highincome countries, given how age and obesity are the two most important risk factors. The majority of cases present at an early stage, with a favourable prognosis. 3. 3. Histone H1 : Subtypes and phosphorylation in cell life and death

    Författare :Anna Gréen; Ingemar Rundquist; Peter Söderkvist; Rolf Ohlsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell biology; Cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The genetic information of a human diploid cell is contained within approximately 2 metres of linear DNA. The DNA molecules are compacted and organized in various ways to fit inside the cell nucleus. Various kinds of histones are involved in this compaction. One of these histones, histone H1 is the topic of the present thesis. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the need for urban landscapes that provide resilient contributions to inhabitants’ well-being while also limiting impacts on the Earth system. It aims to (1) advance a nuanced understanding of how urban environments relate to urban dwellers’ well-being, and (2) formulate guidelines for planning that supports urban dwellers’ well-being and align with global sustainability. 5. 5. Distribution and connectivity of messenger molecules in the control of energy metabolism : focus on neuropeptides and calcium binding proteins

    Författare :Kylie S Foo; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Feeding is an essential and complex behavior which aims to provide the energy required for maintaining physiological homeostasis. The drive to feed is a powerful stimulus arising from metabolic demands, and reinforced by evolutionary pressure. LÄS MER
