  1. 31. Circular design through co-creation: Exploring perspectives and future directions for design in a circular economy

    Författare :Giliam Dokter; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Circular Economy; Co-creation; Design practice; Prototyping; Design for Sustainability; Circular Design;

    Sammanfattning : In the efforts to stimulate sustainable development, the circular economy aims to establish ‘closed-loop’ flows of resources in a way that enables businesses and society to reap benefits from maintaining products, components and materials at their highest utility and value, while simultaneously reducing the generation of waste. Designing for a circular economy will require designers to, more than ever, anticipate how artifacts function and change over time and conceptualise the entire lifecycle (including the design, production, use and end-of-life phase) in a coherent and holistic way. 2. 32. Produktionsnoveller : Om Folkforms arbete med Masonite och andra material

    Författare :Anna Holmquist; Sara Ilstedt; Mona Livholts; Johanna Rosenqvist; Andreas Nobel; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Industrial craftsmanship; design; narrative methodology; practice-led research; material; Masonite; Production Novellas; design research; Folkform; Industriellt hantverk; design; narrativ metod; praktikbaserad forskning; material; Masonite; produktionsnoveller; designforskning; Folkform; Art; Technology and Design; Konst; teknik och design;

    Sammanfattning : A large part of the production today is manufactured so far from the consumer that there is no connection to the production. That there have historically been direct connections between an industry and the people, local traditions and material assets of the place is easily forgotten. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Spatial Design for Circularity - Exploring Spatial Aspects in Housing Design with Focus on the Kitchen

    Författare :Anita Ollár; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; spatial design; value proposition; circular economy; sociomateriality; adaptability; kitchen; circular design; housing design;

    Sammanfattning : The building industry and especially multiresidential buildings are responsible for a large portion of environmental impact, energy use and resource exploitation. Hence, there is a need to shift towards more sustainable design solutions for such buildings, which might be achieved by adopting circular economy strategies. LÄS MER

  4. 34. Design for Service: A framework for articulating designers’ contribution as interpreter of users’ experience

    Författare :Katarina Wetter Edman; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Design for Service; design practice; service logic; service design; user involvement user centered design; materialization; narrative; experience; design for service;

    Sammanfattning : During the past approximately 15 years designers have paid increasing attention to service and changes in our society, resulting in a new design discipline – service design. In parallel, designers’ contributions to service development and innovation have been brought forward, often emphasizing designers’ capability of involving users, acting in and through multidisciplinary teams and using visualization skills in these situations. 5. 35. Innovation in a Changing World : Exploring PSS Design through Prototyping

    Författare :Ryan Ruvald; Alessandro Bertoni; Andreas Larsson; Christian Johansson Askling; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Product-Service System Design; Design Thinking; Prototypes; Boundary Objects; Maskinteknik; Mechanical Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Customers across all sectors have increasing expectations (e.g. value, efficiency, availability, quality, etc.) and expanding needs which traditional business models fail to address simultaneously and stand-alone products cannot be expected to solve. LÄS MER
