    Sammanfattning : The Swedish legal system uses lay judges that decide both the verdict and the sentence together with the legally educated judges.     Sammanfattning : The first volume of Histoire de la Turquie published in 1854 by the French writer Alphonse de Lamartine, is entirely dedicated to the life of Prophet Muhammed. This book raises issues which deserve to be examined in the light of Orientalism (1978) by Edward Said, who criticized the persistent Eurocentric prejudice against Arabo-Islamic peoples and their culture.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation concerns Benedict Spinoza’s (1632–1677) account of ethical life, emphasising the role of techniques and exercises for achieving greater power to control one’s thoughts, emotions, and actions. Because the transcultural perspective reflects hitherto unrepresented spaces, it revises and innovates literary canons.
