21. Surface reactions of natural illites from different origins
Sammanfattning : Studies of natural illites from different origins were performed, including surface acid-base properties, determination of total inorganic carbonates, and spectroscopic investigations of chemical and structural nature as well as alterations of surface properties by acid-base titration. Using surface complexation model, the fitting results showed that the acid-base behavior of aqueous illite surfaces was dominated by deprotonation procedure. LÄS MER
22. Modeling glioblastoma growth patterns and their mechanistic origins
Sammanfattning : Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and aggressive primary brain cancer. GBM cells migrate away from the primary lesion and invade healthy brain tissue. The invading cells escape surgical resection, radiotherapy and develop resistance to chemotherapy. Consequently, despite treatment, recurrence is inevitable, and survival is only 14 months. LÄS MER
23. Towards decision-making to choose among different component origins
Sammanfattning : Context: The amount of software in solutions provided in various domains is continuously growing. These solutions are a mix of hardware and software solutions, often referred to as software-intensive systems. Companies seek to improve the software development process to avoid delays or cost overruns related to the software development. LÄS MER
24. Decision-making support for choosing among different component origins
Sammanfattning : Context: The amount of software in solutions provided in various domains is continuously growing. These solutions are a mix of hardware and software solutions, often referred to as software-intensive systems. Companies seek alternatives to improve the software development process to avoid delays or cost overruns related to software development. LÄS MER
25. The Origins of the Synagogue : A Socio-Historical Study
Sammanfattning : In the first century CE, synagogues existed not only in the land of Israel but in all parts of the Roman Empire where Jews lived. Although incorporating a number of activities, the most characteristic features of this institution were the public reading and teaching of torah, making the synagogue an unparalleled institution in the ancient world.
