6. Genome-Wide Studies of Transcriptional Regulation in Mammalian Cells
Sammanfattning : The key to the complexity of higher organisms lies not in the number of protein coding genes they carry, but rather in the intrinsic complexity of the gene regulatory networks. The major effectors of transcriptional regulation are proteins called transcription factors, and in this thesis four papers describing genome-wide studies of seven such factors are presented, together with studies on components of the chromatin and transcriptome. 7. Deadlock Free Routing in Mesh Networks on Chip with Regions
Sammanfattning : There is a seemingly endless miniaturization of electronic components, which has enabled designers to build sophisticated computing structureson silicon chips. Consequently, electronic systems are continuously improving with new and more advanced functionalities. LÄS MER
8. Slack-Time Aware Dynamic Routing Schemes for on-chip networks
Sammanfattning : Network-on-Chip (NoC) is a new on-chip communication paradigm for future IP-core based System-on-Chip (SoC), designed to remove a number of limitations of today’s on-chip interconnect solutions. A NoC interconnects cores by means of a packet switched micro-network, which improves scalability and reusability, resulting in a shorter time to market. LÄS MER
9. Using wormhole switching for networks on chip : feasibility analysis and microarchitecture adaptation
Sammanfattning : Network-on-Chip (NoC) is proposed as a systematic approach to address future System-on-Chip (SoC) design difficulties. Due to its good performance and small buffering requirement, wormhole switching is being considered as a main network flow control mechanism for on-chip networks. LÄS MER
10. Real-Time Communication over Wormhole-Switched On-Chip Networks
Sammanfattning : In a modern industrial system, the requirement on computational capacity has increased dramatically, in order to support a higher number of functionalities, to process a larger amount of data or to make faster and safer run-time decisions. Instead of using a traditional single-core processor where threads can only be executed sequentially, multi-core and many-core processors are gaining more and more attentions nowadays. LÄS MER
