    Sammanfattning : Reaction force exposure from handheld tightening tools (also known as nutrunners) constitutes an acknowledged contributor to musculoskeletal disorders among assembly operators, and are today not regulated by explicit limits. The research presented in this thesis aimed at contributing to the development of recommended exposure limits for, and assessments of, reaction loads from handheld right-angle and pistol-grip tightening tools.     Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this thesis was to investigate the implications of different rationalization levels of assembly work on shoulder-neck exposure. Three levels were studied: (1) a Chinese Tayloristic system, (2) a Swedish Tayloristic system, and (3) an assembly workplace rationalization in Sweden according to 'modern' rationalization principles including ergonomic purposes.     Sammanfattning : Interruptions have been studied extensively, with interruptions experiments where tasks performed on computers are interrupted by another task received on the same computer having receiving much of the focus. Additionally, many of the tasks used in existing research have been designed specifically to test the effect of interruptions on humans by making both the interrupting task and the task being interrupted quite difficult.
