  1. 1. Methods for measuring physical workload with relevance for musculoskeletal disorders of neck and upper limb

    Författare :Gert-Åke Hansson; Avdelningen för arbets- och miljömedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; shoulder; exposure-response relation; exposure; repetitiveness; movements; postures; questionnaire; EMG; electromyography; accelerometer; Goniometer; inclinometer; arm; wrist; hand.; Occupational health; industrial medicine; Yrkesmedicin; arbetsmiljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Work-related musculoskeletal disorders of the neck and upper limb are a major problem. Women in repetitive manual work is one large affected group. Preventive actions are hampered by the lack of knowledge regarding quantitative exposure-response relations for physical workload. LÄS MER

  2. 2. IT project governance

    Författare :Magnus Mähring; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

  3. 3. Production Ergonomics: Identifying and managing risk in the design of high performance work systems

    Författare :Patrick Neumann; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; reumatologi; Organizational science; Organisationsteori; Production technology; Produktionsteknik; muskelsystem; Skelett; rheumatology locomotion; muscle system; Skeleton; Risk Assessment; Manufacturing; Musculoskeletal disorders; Human Factors; Organisational Development; Production System Design; Strategy;

    Sammanfattning : Poor ergonomics in production systems can compromise performance and cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which pose a huge cost to society, companies, and afflicted individuals. This thesis presents a research trajectory through the problem space by: 1) Identifying and quantifying workplace risk factors for MSDs, 2) Identifying how these risks may relate to production strategies, and 3) Developing an approach to integrating ergonomics into a companies’ regular development work. 4. 4. Physical load, psychosocial and individual factors in visual display unit work

    Författare :Jens Wahlström; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; computer work; musculoskeletal symptoms; working; technique; psychosocial factors; physical load; muscular tension; mental; stress;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to explore associations between physicalload, psychosocial and individual factors in visual display unit (VDU)work. Furthermore, the aim was to investigate whether perceived musculartension is a predictor of neck pain among VDU operators. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Multimodal Approach toward the Biological Categorization of Autism - Development of Theoretical Models, Classification Methods, and Biomarkers

    Författare :Darko Sarovic; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Autism; Classification; Biomarker; Theoretical Framework; Magnetoencephalography; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Morphometry;

    Sammanfattning : Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an umbrella term for a group of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) which are behaviorally defined by the presence of difficulties with social communication, and behavioral rigidity and repetitiveness, including sensory disturbances. The overarching aim of this thesis was to improve the categorization of autism through the development of a theoretical framework and a multivariable classification method, and identify biomarkers which together would aid in the understanding of autism and be used in ASD classification.
