  1. 31. An Embodied Account of Action Prediction

    Författare :Claudia Elsner; Gustaf Gredebäck; Claes von Hofsten; Amanda L. Woodward; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Action prediction; biological motion; direct-matching; embodied simulation; eye movements; eye-tracking; give-me gesture; mirror neuron; motor cortex; point-light; social interaction; TMS; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Being able to generate predictions about what is going to happen next while observing other people’s actions plays a crucial role in our daily lives. Different theoretical explanations for the underlying processes of humans’ action prediction abilities have been suggested. LÄS MER

  3. 33. A new laser-plasma X-ray source for microscopy and lithography

    Författare :Lars Rymell; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; X-ray microscopy; X-ray lithography; Atomic and molecular physics; multilayer mirror; Fysicumarkivet A:1997:Rymell; Atom- och molekylärfysik; X-ray source; Laser-produced plasma; liquid droplet; debris-free; water window;

    Sammanfattning : A new high-brightness source for soft X-rays and EUV-radiation has been developed. This laser-plasma source utilizes a microscopic liquid droplet or jet as target. The result is a reduction of debris emission by several orders of magnitude compared to conventional laser plasmas. LÄS MER

  4. 34. Effect of timing training in golf and soccer players : skill, movement organization, and brain activity

    Författare :Marius Sommer; Louise Rönnqvist; Charlotte Häger; Nicola Hodges; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Motor timing; rhythmicity; timing training; golf shot; golf swing; kinematics; precision; variability; coordination; movement dynamics; soccer; fMRI; mirror neurons; action observation; cerebellum; perception - action.; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Background Although trainers and athletes consider ‘good timing skills’ to be critical for optimal sport performance, little is known in regard to how sport-specific skills may benefit from timing training. Thus, assuming that all motor performances are mediated by an internal timing mechanism, enhanced motor timing is expected to have positive effects on both planning and execution of movement performance, and consequently on complex sports actions as golf or soccer.
