31. Crystallization of Parabens : Thermodynamics, Nucleation and Processing
Sammanfattning : In this work, the solubility of butyl paraben in 7 pure solvents and in 5 different ethanol-water mixtures has been determined from 1 ˚C to 50 ˚C. The solubility of ethyl paraben and propyl paraben in various solvents has been determined at 10 ˚C. LÄS MER
32. Palladium(0)-Catalysed Carbonylative Multicomponent Reactions : Synthesis of Heterocycles and the Application of Quinolinyl Pyrimidines as Enzyme Inhibitors
Sammanfattning : Palladium-catalysed carbonylative multicomponent reactions have proven useful for the synthesis of structurally diverse compounds. Carbon monoxide serves as an atom-efficient, one-carbon building block, which allows for further structural elaboration of the carbonyl compound. LÄS MER
33. Development of low affinity techniques for applications in clinical chemistry
Sammanfattning : An increase in the plasma level of creatine kinase MB (CKMB) has long been used to indicate acute myocardial infarction (AMI). For optimal treatment an early diagnosis is important. An increase in the ratio between the two isoforms of CKMB is seen much earlier than an increase in the total level of CKMB. LÄS MER
34. Theranostic Targeting of GRPR and PSMA in Prostate Cancer
Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on five original articles that investigated the theranostics of prostate cancer by gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) and prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) targeting. GRPR and PSMA are two extensively evaluated prostate cancer cell markers due to their overexpression in the majority of prostate cancer samples. LÄS MER
35. Studies on interfaces between primary and secondary hemostasis
Sammanfattning : Our conceptual understanding of hemostasis is still heavily influenced by outdated experimental models wherein the hemostatic activity of platelets and coagulation factors are understood and studied in isolation. Although perhaps convenient for researchers and clinicians, this reductionist view is negated by an ever increasing body of evidence pointing towards an intimate relationship between the two phases of hemostasis, marked by strong interdependence.
