6. An Experimental and Theoretical Study of the Mass Transport in Lithium-Ion Battery Electrolytes
Sammanfattning : Lithium‐ion batteries are particularly suitable as energy storage solutions in high power applications, such as hybrid electric vehicles. It is generally considered that one of the processes that limit the power density for lithium‐ion batteries is the mass transport in the electrolyte. LÄS MER
7. Material migration in tokamaks : Erosion-deposition patterns and transport processes
Sammanfattning : Controlled thermonuclear fusion may become an attractive future electrical power source. The most promising of all fusion machine concepts is called a tokamak. The fuel, a plasma made of deuterium and tritium, must be confined to enable the fusion process. It is also necessary to protect the wall of tokamaks from erosion by the hot plasma. LÄS MER
8. Turbulent impurity transport in tokamaks
Sammanfattning : Nuclear fusion is foreseen as one of the options for future energy production. One of the remaining scientific challenges for establishing the physics basis of future magnetic fusion reactors is to find scenarios where the impurity content in the core can be kept low. LÄS MER
9. Dynamic Structure Discovery and Ion Transport in Liquid Battery Electrolytes
Sammanfattning : The lithium-ion battery (LIB), the realisation of which earned the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2019, has since its 1991 commercialisation become the dominant energy storage technology first for cell phones and other mobile electronics, then for power tools and other domestic appliances, and currently for electric cars and other vehicles. However, many applications would still benefit from higher power and energy densities, longer life-lengths and safer batteries. LÄS MER
10. Ion transport in exocrine glands with reference to cystic fibrosis
Sammanfattning : Aspects of ion transport in rat submandibular gland acinar cells at the subcellular level, and the regulation of chloride secretion and calcium mobilization in cultured pig tracheal gland acinar cells were studied with reference to the disease cystic fibrosis. In adult rat submandibular gland acinar cells, both cholinergic and α-adrenergic stimulation induced efflux of K+ and of C1-, but the response was generally less with α-adrenergic stimulation.
