  1. 16. Generative models for action generation and action understanding

    Författare :Judith Bütepage; Danica Kragic; Ivan Laptev; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : The question of how to build intelligent machines raises the question of how to rep-resent the world to enable intelligent behavior. In nature, this representation relies onthe interplay between an organism’s sensory input and motor input. Action-perceptionloops allow many complex behaviors to arise naturally. LÄS MER

  2. 17. On the logic of pattern cutting : foundational cuts and approximations of the body

    Författare :Rickard Lindqvist; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Textiles and fashion; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : Fashion designers are presented with a range of different principles for pattern cutting and the interest in this area has grown rapidly over the past few years, both due to the publication of a number of works dealing with the subject in different ways and the fact that a growing number of designers emphasise cutting in their practices. Although a range of principles and concepts for pattern cutting are presented from different perspectives, the main body of these systems, traditional as well as contemporary, are predominately based on a quantified approximation of the body. 3. 18. Non-overlapping Germ-grain Models: Characteristics and Material Modelling

    Författare :Jenny Andersson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Poisson process; Convex sets; Material fatigue; Voronoi tessellation; Germ-grain process; Pair-correlation function; Mark-correlation function; Short cracks; Volume fraction; Germ-grain process;

    Sammanfattning : We consider three different non--overlapping germ--grain models, two of which are constructed in a similar fashion. These two models are generalisations of Mat\'ern's hard--core models. In both cases we start with a homogeneous Poisson process and use the points as centres of convex sets, grains, of the same shape. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Cell models for evaluation of adult and developmental neurotoxicity : Focus on acrylamide

    Författare :Kristina Attoff; Anna Forsby; Åsa Fex-Svenningsen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; neurokemi med molekylär neurobiologi; Neurochemistry with Molecular Neurobiology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is aimed at summarizing some of the alternative in vitro methods and models that have been used to study both adult and developmental neurotoxicity (DNT), and also to pinpoint some of the important aspects of using alternative in vitro methods. The aim of the papers included in this thesis was to challenge the hypothesis that neurotoxicity and DNT of chemicals can be studied using robust endpoints for proliferation and neural differentiation, such as neurite outgrowth, mRNA expression and protein expression, in two different cell lines. 5. 20. Data-driven AI Techniques for Fashion and Apparel Retailing

    Författare :Chandadevi Giri; Ulf Johansson; Jenny Balkow; Xianyi Zeng; Sebastien Thomessey; Maria Riveiro; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Digitalization; artificial intelligence; fashion and apparel industry; churn prediction; sales forecasting; campaign analysis; data driven AI decision-making; 数字化,人工智能,服装产业,客户流失预测,销售预测,竞争分析,数据驱动的人 工智能决策; Digitalisation; intelligence artificielle IA; industrie de la mode et de l habillement; prédiction de désabonnement; prévision des ventes; analyse des promotions; Prise de décision par IA axée sur les données; Digitalisering; Artificiell intelligens; Modeindustrin; Churnprediktion; Försäljningsprognoser; Kampanjanalys; Datadriven AI; Beslutsstöd; Business and IT; Handel och IT; Textil och mode generell ; Textiles and Fashion General ;

    Sammanfattning : Digitalisation allows companies to develop many new ways of interacting with customers and other stakeholders. These digital interactions typically generate data that can be stored and later processed for different objectives. LÄS MER
