16. On Contact Mechanisms and Mechanical Transmission Performance
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of four papers, which treat the modelling of a spur gear set and a disc brake, and the interaction between the machine elements. Features of the performance are studied in relation to the initial stated assumptions. LÄS MER
17. An experimental study on the wake behind a rectangular forebody with variable inlet conditions
Sammanfattning : The wake behind a rectangular forebody with variable inlet conditions is investigated. The perforated surface of the two-dimensional rectangular forebody, with a smooth leading edge and a blunt trailing edge, allows for boundary layer modification by means of wall suction. LÄS MER
18. Modelling and Experimental Investigation of the Dynamics in Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells
Sammanfattning : In polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFC) chemical energy, in for example hydrogen, is converted by an electrochemical process into electrical energy. The PEFC has a working temperature generally below 100 °C. Under these conditions water management and transport of oxygen to the cathode are the parameters limiting the performance of the PEFC. 19. Hydrodynamics, Erosion and Heat Transfer in Pressurized Fluidized Beds
Sammanfattning : Measurements of hydrodynamics, local tube erosion and local instantaneous bed-to-tube heat transfer were carried out in a cold, pressurized, fluidized bed with different horizontal tube banks. The influence of pressure, fluidization velocity, particle size and tube-bank geometry was studied. LÄS MER
20. Formation of oxide-inclusions by ladle glaze and a preliminary examination on the possibility of inclusion seperation by bubble floatation
Sammanfattning : The present work was to study the role of ladle glaze as apotential supplier of inclusions to the steel melt during theladle refining process. In this study, the total number ofinclusions at the beginning and at the end of the ladletreatment process was found to be increasing with ladle age, which is the number of heats, the ladle being used.
