11. Sound perception and design in multimodal environments
Sammanfattning : This dissertation is about sound in context. Since sensory processing is inherently multimodal, research in sound is necessarily multidisciplinary. The present work has been guided by principles of systematicity, ecological validity, complementarity of methods, and integration of science and art. LÄS MER

13. Exploring societal impacts of self-driving public transport using four-step transport models
Sammanfattning : During the last decade, self-driving technology has become increasingly visible in the news, with the vision that people would enter vehicles that drive themselves, and that people could instead rest, read the newspaper, or have a meeting. However, these visions have mainly focused on the potential for car usage, even though public transport could benefit greatly from self-driving technology. LÄS MER
14. Driverless trucks in the Swedish freight transport system : An analysis of future impacts on the transport system and the emerging innovation system
Sammanfattning : A large-scale introduction of driverless trucks could start taking place during the next decade. While this could bring several economic benefits for freight transport actors and society, it may also change the freight transport system and exacerbate the negative effects of road transport. 15. Acoustic Trapping in Biomedical Research
Sammanfattning : Herein a method that uses acoustically resonating glass capillaries and enables non-contact capture of micron-sized bioparticles, i.e. acoustic trapping, is described. A miniaturized ultrasonic transducer is used to locally actuate a cross-sectional resonance in the capillary. LÄS MER
