16. Forming future IT : the living lab way of user involvement
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the process of user involvement in the development of information technology (IT) systems. The motive for this research is that there is still a need of more knowledge about how users can be involved in IT-development when the aim is to develop solutions that represent user needs. LÄS MER
17. The mechanical Paul trap in the upper secondary physics laboratory
Sammanfattning : In physics, toy models are often used in popular science contexts. Further, toy models have also been used to communicate some important principles of abstract phenomena qualitatively. One such example can be found in the 1989 Nobel laureate Wolfgang Paul’s Nobel lecture. LÄS MER
18. On cyclic accumulation models for degradation of railway foundations
Sammanfattning : The degradation of railway foundations due to the repeated loading of traffic induces maintenance and safety obligations for the track operator. One major contributor to track degradation is the accelerated settlement rates in soft soils below the track that lead to alignment issues, especially at stiffness transitions. LÄS MER
19. A Collinear Angle-Resolved Photoelectron Spectrometer - Instrumental Design and Photodetachment Measurements
Sammanfattning : For more than half a century, photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to investi- gate atoms, ions and molecules. Various techniques have been developed in order to measure electron energies and angular distributions using different radiation sources such as lasers and synchrotrons. LÄS MER
20. Control and Optimization of Fuel Cell Based Powertrain for Automotive Applications
Sammanfattning : Fuel cell powered electric vehicles, with fast-refueling time, high energy density, and zero CO2 emissions, are becoming a promising solution for future fossil-free transportation. However, the relatively slow dynamic response and the inability of recovering the regenerative energy make vehicles solely powered by fuel cells not an immediately attractive solution. LÄS MER
